The End is Near

With another election cycle behind us, it’s time to turn our attention back to the things that really matter: Celebrating the best music of 2008, looking back at the year’s most memorable, beguiling, dismaying, and inspiring records, and holding up the albums that are really going to stand the test of time. It’s still a bit early, but, this year, The Hurst Review will be offering a year-end musical wrap-up in the form of an eight-part series; these posts will begin next Monday and appear at regular intervals throughout the next month, culminating in the all-important Best Albums of the Year list on December 8. Regular posting and record reviews will continue, of course, interspersed throughout the year-end retrospectives, but this is a Hurst Review event that isn’t to be missed; make sure you’ve got those RSS feeds set so you don’t miss any of it!
