Film Break: The Coen Brothers

My favorite living filmmakers– Joel and Ethan Coen– have a new movie, A Serious Man, out in a very limited release, which, alas, does not include the city of Charlotte. I suspect I’ll have a lot to say about the movie once I’m actually able to see it, but for now, I’ve written an essay about the Coens– their cinema, their worldview, their moral universe.
