Uncovering Vetiver’s Things of the Past

Here’s something that’s pretty cool. As noted before, Vetiver’s new album, Thing of the Past, is a collection of country, R&B, rock, pop, and folk gems, most of them so obscure that you’ve probably never heard of them before. But now, thanks to the good folks at Aquarium Drunkard, you can download MP3s of each and every one of the original songs that Vetiver covers; I’m not entirely sure how, um, legal this is, or how long it will last, but the Vetiver album is one of 2008’s true gems, and this is a terrific opportunity to delve even deeper into it.
